Privacy Policy for Dreamlamp Ltd

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Dreamlamp Ltd, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you engage with our services through the Dreamlamp app or website.

Please read the following to learn more about how we use your personal information. By using our Service, you promise us that:

  • You have read, understood, and you agree to this Privacy Policy;

  • You are over 16 years of age (or have had your parent or guardian read and agree to this Privacy Policy for you);

  • You are a parent, legal guardian, or an authorized school employee in compliance with applicable laws if you use our services on behalf of a child.

If you do not agree you must not use our Service. In such case, if you are using our application you must:

  1. Delete your/your child’s account using the functionality found in “Settings” in the App, or contact us and request deletion of your/your child’s data;

  2. Cancel any subscriptions using the functionality provided by Apple (if you are using iOS) or Google (if you are using Android);

  3. And (c) delete the application from your devices.



2. Who We Are

For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and any implementing legislation (the "GDPR") Dreamlamp Ltd, we are a registered company in Malta, and the data controller responsible for your personal information. Our address is 18/2, South St, Il-Belt Valletta VLT 1102, Malta.


3. What Information We Collect and How We Use It

3.1 Personal Data

To enhance your experience on the Dreamlamp App, we gather information such as Name, Email, Country and about your platform usage, such as visits, and device details. We use this data to improve your experience and our services. We may obtain your personal data from the following sources:

  1. From you directly (through the app, online contact forms); and/or

  2. From third parties, service providers that are assisting us in providing you with the application (for example, Google, Apple)

Legal Basis: The collection is based on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual activity and our legitimate interest in app development.

3.2 Transaction Data

When you make a purchase on the Dreamlamp App, we (or our service providers that are assisting us in providing you with the application for example, Google, Apple) collect transaction data, including payment information and relevant details

3.3 Data Relating to Queries and Answers

Queries submitted through the Dreamlamp App lead to the processing of contact details and query content to provide responses.

3.4 Data Relating to Legal Requirements

We may process personal data to pursue our legitimate interest in legal claims arising from contracts. See Section 5 of this Privacy Policy for details.

3.5 Data Relating to Contact Forms

With your consent, we may use notifications, email newsletters for direct marketing purposes.

4. Safeguarding Your Information against Third Party

We prioritize the security of your personal data. We do not send personally identifiable information or device information to third parties. We do not employ third-party analytics or third-party advertising. We may disclose your personal information:

– to Google Play Store and App Store which provide us with payment services to enable you to make payments on and/or through the Dreamlamp Platform to subscribe to any subscription plan.
– to public authorities, where required to do so by law or where a lawful request for information is made to us by a public authority; and
– in relation to any future merger, acquisition or sale of our business or a part thereof.

We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.



5. How Long We Retain Your Data

We retain personal data for the necessary duration to achieve the outlined purposes or as required by law. Your personal data will be stored until the end of the customer relationship between you and Dreamlamp Ltd.

Certain personal data may be retained after the end of the customer relationship if required or permitted by applicable law. For example, we will keep basic accounting documents (such as copies of contracts and invoices) for 5 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by applicable law. We will retain your personal data relating to the contract for 10 years from the date of termination of the contract, subject to a maximum limitation period in case of intentional breach.

When the retention of your personal data is no longer required by law or necessary for the exercise of the rights or obligations of either party, we will permanently delete your personal data.
For the management of your newsletter subscription: we automatically delete the data after 3 years of inactivity. If you unsubscribe, the sending of newsletters is not automatically deactivated. You can request this by contacting us at hello@dreamlamp.app in order to proceed with the effective removal of your address from our database. For data collected as a result of subscription, it is retained for the purpose of performing our service, and then we delete it 3 years after the end of our contractual relationship.


6. Updating the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically, and any changes will be communicated to you through the Dreamlamp App.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal data we process by requesting access to it. To the extent permitted by law, you have the right of access to, and the right to rectify, update, amend or erase your data. Where the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Dreamlamp Ltd will send a reply within 1 month after you exercise the right. In certain cases, related to the complexity of the request or the number of requests, this period may be extended by 2 months.
If you feel that we are not processing your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Malta, this is the IDPC and their information can be found here:  https://idpc.org.mt/

8. Security Measures

We implement organizational, technical, and administrative security measures to protect personal data against loss, destruction, misuse, and unauthorized access. While we strive for security, no system can completely eliminate all possible security risks.
